         <description><![CDATA[We are now at our 28th Rhynie Gala and still going strong.&#160; I have been involved in the Gala since the late 80’s and have been Secretary on and off a few times but have remained Treasurer for quite a time.&#160; I am also currently doing the job of the Secretary since we are without one at present.&#160;&#160; 

We have quite a large Committee with 14 Organisations.&#160; To qualify you have to be a&#160; local Organisation and attend the Meetings, take a stall at the Gala, sell Raffle...]]></description>

It seemed Rhynie Gala, would be a wet one after heavy rain fell on Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning, but as seems now to be a tradition, the sun came out in time for the start of Friday night’s Tug of War and Football and the main event on Saturday afternoon.
The gala was opened by one of the parishes former Ministers the Reverend Andrew Christie a member of the founding Gala committee 27 years ago.
Friday nights primary school football was won by Huntly Boys with the runners up...]]></description>
