Minutes of meeting held at
Rhynie School
19th December 2011
Present: Paul Manning (Chairman), Kate Hunter (Secretary), Duncan Connon, Peter Johnston, David Grant, James Grant, and Alistair Rennie

Matters Arising
Clatt
· Seat at Top of Suie: Hill Due to the seats being damaged the location will be inspected to see if the seats can be positioned in a better and safer place and the damage made good.
· Sign at Cottown Junction: Replacement pending
· Road Surface at Clatt/Kennethmont Junction near Percylieu: Repairs currently pending
Gartly
· Lights at school end of Park Lane: No immediate plans to replace the lights Inspection will be carried out in January to assess
· Park Lane road surface: Arrangements in hand to inspect
· Gartly Church Kevin Fowlie to check on the tree in the churchyard and inspect the state of the church
Rhynie
· Litter in field near Tap O Noth: SEPA to contact the landowner re black plastic in the field
· Roof in Ladies Public Toilets: Site visit to assess the damage
Police Report
· There was an attempted break in to the house at Millhill Gartly overnight on the 12/13th November No entry was gained and nothing stolen Appears to be a one off incident
· One further heating oil theft in Rhynie between 8/10th December 500 litres stolen from an insecure tank. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious vehicles or activity
· Three officers are leaving Huntly to be replaced by two officers one from Fraserburgh and one from Peterhead One officer has been transferred from the Crime Reduction Department so numbers are maintained
Alford and Huntly also exchange an officer. There will be two sergeants and five teams of four officers split between Alford and Huntly
Grampian Police in conjunction with the Scottish Forces will be taking part in the annual ACPOS Festive Drink Drug Driving campaign, which runs between Monday 5th December 2011 and Tuesday 3rd January2012

· Kennethmont: It was noted that the roof on the extension at Kennethmont Lodge had been replaced with corrugated iron, as this is a listed building this was thought to be unusual.
· Rhynie
1. The 20mph School Zone Signs on Essie Road, Richmond Gardens and the Square near the Church are out or only flashing intermittently
2. Street Lights opposite 39 Main Street, the Public toilets, 6 Richmond Avenue, Sims Road end and near North field are all out

1. Letter to be sent to Colin Ormiston of Vattenfall re Community funding from the Clashindarroch Windfarm
2. A meeting was held with the Scottish Community Foundation re the management of funds. This was discussed and will be considered at a later date.
3. Flowers to be sent to Elma who is currently in Insch Hospital
4. E-mail sent to Huntly Express with information about the Tap O Noth Community Council Website. Information will also be sent to Noth News.
