Those who came with us to the Panto will agree how good it was again this year, even better than 2008 and that took some doing. Elaine C Smith was fantastic as the fairy godmother and stole the show. Alan McHugh and Jordan Young played the roles of Cinders’ Ugly Sisters! The duo who have been a huge hit in the past two pantos at HMT did not let us down again this year and wore even more outrageous frocks.
Now let me make you really jealous! Only myself and one other person fancied Pride and Prejudice starring Susan Hampshire so off we went last week. What a treat you all missed! Not only did the delightful Miss Hampshire bring Mrs. Bennett to life but the whole play was really good. One would think that you'd seen it and read it so many times that there could be nothing new but how wrong could you be. Ok Mr. Darcy didn't get his shirt wet but he was still a dish and Katie Lightfoot was a really feisty Miss Elizabeth.
