04/12/2009 12:15Last week seen Rhynie retain the 4 man vale cup with KENDAL, DALE, SCOOTER and HAGAR victorious for second year in a row. This week seen Rhynie take on Lumsden B. Rhynie were at full strength while Lumsden were missing ANDY S.
Team game. SPEEDY, DALE, SCOOTER, HAGAR, KENDAL and BUCK take on ALAN, JAMES, COUTSIE, DANNY and SKUNT. With Rhynie advantage of throw and Lumsden slow of the mark this proved to be one way traffic as Rhynie took the first point o the night.1-0 1st doubles match. HAGAR and KENDAL v ANDY C and JAMES. With the Lumsden pair advantage of throw they were looking to bounce straight back but failed to do so. 1st leg went the way of Rhynie as there good scoring seen them check out in 22 darts. 2nd leg went the same way as the Lumsden pair missed doubles to allow HAGAR to hit the double for a 2-0 win. 2-0 2nd doubles match. DALE and TOSH v SKUNT and COUTSIE. With the Rhynie pair looking keep there unbeaten run in tact Lumsden had it all to do. 1st leg goes the way of the home side as DALE hit s a 180 to give them time to check out with ease. 2nd leg see s the Rhynie lads bottle it as SKUNT carries COUTSIE to take the leg and level the match up. 3rd leg and TOSH scores well taking Rhynie down to there double first checking out to give Rhynie a 3-0 lead. 3-0 3rd doubles match. SCOOTER and SPEEDY v ALAN and DANNY. 1st leg see s SCOOTER hit a couple o 140s and checks out in 19 darts leaving Lumsden well behind. 2nd leg and a turn of fortune as ALAN hits 3 tons and DANNY hits a 125 finishing of in 17 darts. 3rd leg. With Lumsden advantage of throw they waste little getting there first point on the board as ALAN hits another couple o tons making that 6 for him in that match. 3-1 1st singles match. HAGAR v ALAN. The stage was set for an epic as the two inform players did battle. HAGAR to throw first and he s fast of the mark hitting 140 and 135 checking out in 16 darts. 2nd leg went with throw again as ALAN score well and checks out 50 after HAGAR missed chances at doubles. 3rd leg came down to wire as both players got a throw at a double but it was HAGAR who checked out in 21 darts or so. 4-1 2nd singles match. JIMMER v DANNY. With DANNY on form JIMMER had to pull something special out the bag. 1st leg goes down to wire as both players miss heaps of doubles as DANNY sneaks it. 2nd leg and both players score well as JIMMER get s down to a double but fails to get a chance at it as DANNY checks out 103. 4-2 3rd singles match. SCOOTER v JAMES. With SCOOTER the throw this was to be a mountain to climb for JAMES. 1st leg went with throw as SCOOTER took it in 25 darts or so. 2nd leg and JAMES put up more of a fight just getting pipped to the double by SCOOTER who give s Rhynie at least a draw. 5-2 4th singles match. KENDAL v ANDY C.With ANDY looking to give Lumsden another point and KENDAL looking to seal a Rhynie win. 1st leg goes against throw as KENDAL out scores ANDY well to take the first one. 2nd leg see s ANDY pull one back as KENDAL misses numerous chances to wrap things up. 3rd leg see s ANDY come out firing getting him to a double 200 in front. Double trouble for ANDY see s KENDAL get 1 dart at double 13 to seal the win. 6-2 5th singles match. DALE v SKUNT. With DALE on fine form after last week and his 180 tonight SKUNT was up against it. First leg went to the local celeb as he checked out with a beep. 2nd leg went the same way as SKUNT could nt keep up with DALE s scoring leaving DALE checking out with his trademark saying ( bingo was his nameoo). 7-2 6th singles match. BUCK v COUTSIE. With nothing to play for except pride it was to be the battle of the veterans. With BUCK looking to take it easy so he d have plenty of energy to watch a real football team at the weekend down at st james s, could the mighty COUTSIE pick up a victory. Both players took a leg each as they both played some good dart s. 1-1. Last leg of the night and COUTSIE says he s going to hit a 180 naturally everyone laughs at the village idiot but he shuts them up by placing 3 o his arrows in the lipstick. 180 COUTSIE. Never the less BUCK is unfazed by it all getting down to his double and checking out. 2-1 BUCK if only the GER 8-2 it finished once again a pleasure playing with the Lumsden lads. Man of the match HAGAR.
