Gala Meeting

A meeting of The Rhynie Gala Committee was held recently & again the Gala year has been very successful & 15 Organisations received £300 each. This was follwoed by the AGM where the new committee was formed for 2011. Elected were
Chairman : Mr.George Gordon
Vice Chairman : Mr.George Beverly
Secretary/Treasurer : Mrs Anne Lyne
Press Secretary : Mrs Phyllis Beverly
Sponsor Co-Ordinator : Mrs Claire Dow
Catering Co-Ordinators : Mr.Brian & Mrs Averil Stewart
Marquee Co-Ordinators : Mrs.Julie Duncan & Mrs Sue Fraser -Wilson
Football Co-Ordinator : Mr Martin Dow
Other committee members are made up of representatives of the village organisations & helpers making a total of 24 committee members

The Organisations Childrens Christmas Party will be held on Sat.4th December,2010 in the Commuity Centre


Carol Singing & the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights in The Square,Rhynie will be held on Saturday 11th December at 6p.m. with refreshments being served in Noth Parish Church,Rhynie to which all are welcome.


Preparations are in hand for the 29th Rhynie Gala to be held Friday 19th & Saturday 20th August,2011.

This years Rhynie Gala was a huge success. The crowds were out on force to see the usual attractions as well as the 2 fat laddies who put on a cracking cooking display.
