my family go back to Rhynie selling tin up in the cabrach up to the tap O the Noth my great grand uncle sold tin up in the Cabrach old Alexander Stewart a man called the Cock O' the North he wonderd from Rhynie up into the Cabrach think The Rhynie man on the hill fort a bronz axe head was found on the hill, and my family of tinsmiths lived in the Pass Of Ballater making tin, and a bronz axe head was found on the slate hills in the Pass Of Ballater, Rhynie and Old Rayne was where my Family of Stewart's was tinsmithing with there hand made axe heads and tools going back hundered's of years.

Tracied my roots to your wonderful town, can anyone shed any local info of farms owned by Grassicks 1790-1888

My ancestors come from Rhynie - Moss Road 1850's to early 1900's Stuart and Leslie were the surnames. Hope you are successful in your search.
